Highlight Health was founded in 2020. From day one, Highlight Health has been on a mission to modernize the healthcare cost containment industry. The industry that was not known for innovation and was known for being a complete black box, with no transparency or disclosure. Self-funded health plans were told that their payments were “proprietary and confidential” and prevented from asking even basic questions about the costs that could break their budgets.
The name, Highlight Health, was chosen to signify Highlight Health’s commitment to highlighting the problems in the industry and working to change them.
2020
Highlight Health was founded with a commitment to 21st-century communication, transparency, and disclosure. The founders vowed to work hard to end the practices that made it impossible for self-funded health plans and plan participants to understand their healthcare bills, and to regain a measure of control, including the ability to review and analyze healthcare claims both before and after they are paid.
2021-2023
Highlight Health began to get the word out, find its market and clients, demonstrate proof of concept, achieve savings for clients.
January 1, 2024
Teus Health, LLC, led by Tia Goss Sawhney, merged into Highlight Health. Prior to the merger, Teus Health provided clients with analytic and public policy support within the intersecting domains of population health and health insurance, with a particular emphasis on the analysis of healthcare costs. As part of the merger, the Highlight Health team more than doubled, Sawhney became Highlight Health’s chief operating officer.
2024
Highlight Health added new clients and expanded existing client-relationships, continued to build out its technology platform, developed comprehensive policies and policies, and expanded its knowledgeable and excellent team. Highlight Health’s new hires included the company’s first in-house legal counsel.
2025
Highlight Health is working hard to onboard a flood of new clients, while continuing to improve our services for existing clients. The new clients are arriving by word of mouth. We concentrate on service, not marketing.
The future is now. Highlight Health provides healthcare cost containment for many large, medium, and small companies in America and is fulfilling its mission to modernize the healthcare cost containment industry.
